Built in 1966 for the U.S. Army, UH-1H Iroquois 66-00828 served with multiple U.S. Army aviation units during the Vietnam War, including the 191st, 118th, 173rd, and 48th Assault Helicopter Companies, as well as elements of the 101st Airborne Division and its 101st Assault Helicopter Battalion. Operating across South Vietnam from 1967 to 1972, the aircraft flew air assault and mobility missions supporting U.S. and allied ground forces in contested landingzones.

Combat Report
